Super Cars to Fit Both You and Your Family

Super car manufacturers are not getting the thrill of hitting the top speed these days. Everyone dreams about owning a two-seater super car with either the prancing horse or the raging bull in front of the bonnet. When it comes to reality, one would opt for a sedan or a hot hatch these days for every day's usage.

Imagine going shopping or sending your kids to school. Driving a two-seater super car such as the Porsche 911 can only give you enough room for a child or some knick knacks from your local supermarket. Indeed the sports car of the yesteryear is a wonderfully built machine with it's well balanced power and subtle racing beauty but where is the practicality of everyday driving trips to fetch your kids home from school? Porsche, a well known sports car company based in Stuttgart has came out with the idea of a sports SUV.

The Porsche Cayenne is their answer to daily use sports car but wait a minute, is that not an SUV instead of a sedan? Lately, Maserati introduced the face-lifted Quattroporte, which is a four door sedan luxury sports car. With a 400bhp engine at the driver's hands, this is the ultimate everyday car that an enthusiastic driver will want to drive his wife or kids to the market or the school. The four door sedan allows ample space for passengers and a proper boot to store items. This is just the right car to get for those looking for performance, luxury, and practicality. Forgetting the SUV, the everyday and practical super car is here, with the Maserati being the trend starter.

Following the Quattroporte's success in being an everyday car, Porsche has recently unveiled their latest addition to their family - a four door hatchback sedan. Called the Porsche Panamera, this is the answer to wealthy families of four or less, as the two seats behind are actually semi bucket seats similar to the front ones, strongly reminding the sporty element of the Porsche itself. The Panamera is based on the Porsche Cayenne, just that it's a sedan rather than an SUV. With engine choices up to 4.8L and up to 400bhp, this 'family' super car will not shy on its company's racing heritage. Porsche plans to launch a hybrid model of the Panamera too and it will definitely be a hit for those who's searching for a hybrid sports vehicle.

Pretty soon there will be a trend of super 'family' cars going around with the word practicality in everyone's mind. Manufacturers such as Lamborghini and Aston Martin has already unveiled their four door super sedans, namely the Lamborghini Estoque and also the Aston Martin Rapide. Both of them are racing pedigrees and both of them are four-door sedans. This may help to turn the market a little bit, asking wealthy businessmen to start worrying about an extra seat or two for their growing family or maybe as a luxury super limo for the company's business trip to the airport - fast.

With all the big manufacturers starting to move away from solely producing super cars, the prancing horse company has their plan too. They also had a remade of their classic Ferrari California to be an everyday car - too bad it's still a two-door though.

Three Things Guys Love in "Super Cars" - Scientific Look on Men's Psyche

What is a stereotype of a real man? Tough, bad-ass, interested in cars and opposite sex, only thing he spends his free time on is 'tuning' his ride.

Is this truly how real man is meant to be? I don't think so, it is just like with blondes, not every girl with yellow hair is so dumb that completing any everyday action is a tough one for her.

Anyway most of guys are interested in cars, it doesn't mean that every man out there is a 'petrol-head'. We just find ourselves attracted to mechanics and/or looks of some automobiles.

That is actually what makes us different from beautiful sex. We are taking everything logically and women are making their decision mostly based on emotions. It doesn't mean that every man is completely washed off all emotions Robocop, we simply don't allow them to take control over us in most situations.

We just know what attracts us and what don't. Yeah, it is biggest difference between us and woman, if you don't believe me just look at their shopping habits, most of the time in shop they spent trying-on things they are not going to buy later. Is it logical? No!

Ok. So we are attracted to cars but what cars we like the most? Answer is simple, ones that we cant own, the fastest, the most beautiful, the most luxurious, simply the best of all, cars that are being called 'super cars'.

But what exactly we find so appealing in those completely impractical cars? I've decided to pick up the gauntlet and look at his problem from psychologists view[I am not one but who cares].

1. Looks.

I think that this is the most important factor of all. I based that assumption on fact that most man are visuals[they are more attracted to looks than other qualities]. If you think that you aren't, just think about last time you have seen some gorgeous girl, have you felt that worm wave of energy going through your chest? Maybe you've found yourself imaging all the things that you could do with her? If yes you are a hypocrite. Why? Cause you are feeling attraction that is based only on how she looks.

That's why most man think that some car is great only cause of its trendy eye-catching design.

2. Dreams.

This is another important factor in my opinion, dreams are deeply in our psyche. Everyone love to dream, Why? Cause in dreams we can be anyone, we can do anything and own anything, for example a super car. I am sure that you have dreamed at least once in your life how would it be if you would have a million bucks. Yeah, million is really a big amount of money, you for sure could find this dreams so real that you have even made some kind of commitment that you will have such house, wife and ... car that you always wanted.

Dreams are extremely powerful, actually it is scientifically proven that our subconscious part of mind, responsible for things like breathing, processing of movements and other things we don't have direct control of, doesn't recognize the difference between reality and dreams. That's why we can want something so badly, cause our subconscious after experiencing all the benefits of some situation[after dreaming] sends "info" to our conscious mind that we want it.

3. Social Status.

Another biggie when comes to people overall not only men. Social status is fundamental of human communication since beginning of our species. Social status is like rank of power, more power you have better you are ranked. Funny thing is that from some reason men tend to think that having something to show off like car, big mansion or private jet will skyrocket their ranking but it is of course wrong.

I think that it all comes from idea of picking girls on all those material stuff. The concept isn't wrong itself cause you will for sure find some chicks attracted to money but such friendship regularly wont lead to long term relationship.

Named after the big man of Ferrari himself expectations were high when this beast was announced in 2003. And I'm pleased to say that it has lived up to them. With its F1-style sequential shift transmission and carbon fiber body this car too has F1 credentials. The enzo has a 6.0L V12 engine which churns out 651 horsepower and does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds with a high rpm rate of 7800 gives it a top speed of 218 mph.

Bugatti Veyron:

The Bugatti veyron is a monster of a vehicle, costing around $12.000.000 to produce the first one! The Bugatti has an incredible 6 radiators, that's more than your average house! The Bugatti smashed the record for the world's fastest production car in October 2005 reaching 253 mph! 0-60 in 2.43 seconds. The engine is a massive 8.0L quad turbo-charged W16.

SSC Ultimate Aero TT:

Manufactured by Shelby super cars the Ultimate Aero TT is the current fastest production car in the world, beating the mighty veyron by 2.5 mph. With an incredible 254 mph as the top speed this will take some beating. The Ultimate aero TT has 1,183 bhp and accelerates from 0-60 in 2.78 seconds. no doubt that this is an awesome American masterpiece!

So there you have it 5 of the worlds fastest production cars. Some people though have gone to the extremes of tuning up their Skyline or Supra or other up gradable sports cars into 1000 bop monsters, but you can find information on fast import cars on the web. Their is a lot more dream machines that I have not mentioned such as the Lamborghini Diablo, the Zonda F and the Porsche 911 GT3.

Super Cars

Man's thrill for speed can best be satiated with super-cars. Super-cars were made to give a taste of new extremes to mankind. They have powerful engines specially build lighter bodies which allow them to reach high maximum speeds at amazing accelerations.

Modern Super-cars are more reliable than older ones. They use new technology to make them less threatening to the environment; new exhaust converters, comparatively lower ignition engines etc. They are now made with safer gadgets and bodies to keep not only the people inside them safe but also those run over by them. All this, just to build a better future for our children and a safer and cleaner tomorrow. But we are talking about Super-cars here, so that's just not the point.

Super-cars are supposed to be much faster and fearsome than ordinary cars. Though they still are all that, but compared to the Super-cars of the past made almost fifteen years ago they are slightly slower now. The modern Super-cars have so much more technology that even if you hit the brake the computer inside the car calculates the speed and traction control and then brake the car making the response time slower than older Super-cars; in which the car did exactly what and when you told it to do. Fifteen years ago Mclaren proved that they had the technology to cross the 240 mph speed mark. Though Porche have the same technology to achieve that goal, somehow for some strange reason they held back from doing so. In some old Super-cars like the Ferrari F40 there were no door handles, no radio and no carpets and all these things made it a lot lighter. The F40 could go from naught to 60 in 3.2 seconds which almost no modern super-car can accomplish. New modern cars on the other hand have a lot of gadgets but they only serve as distractions. When you are in a super-car is drive and drive fast. Older Super-cars are still much faster than the new contemporary ones.

Environmental agencies and government regulations have made Super-cars of today have made them impotent vis-à-vis there cousins from a decade ago and at the same time have killed the very purpose of engineering and driving a super car.
